with roots in the British Isles and France. It's like an old-time barn
dance with a live band playing old-time fiddle tunes. Located at old
Lenoir High School on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

- Fort Defiance - The historic site is the former home of Revolutionary
War hero General William Lenoir and offers tours and events throughout
the year.
- Historic Society Heritage Museum - The museum, which highlights the
county's history from pre-colonial to present day, offers a variety
of exhibits, memorabilia and artifacts.
- T.H. Broyhill Walking Park - Features ½ mile walk around man-made
lake in a Japanese garden setting.
- Wilson Creek Area - Very scenic area stream, waterfalls, fishing,
hiking. Relax with the beauty of nature.
- Windmill Park - Pickin' In The Park. May thru September in Hudson,
first Friday in the month.
- Tuttle Educational State Forest - Trails with "talking" trees and
exhibits. Ranger conducted programs.
